“We want to really polish up the jewel that we have here on the shores of Lake Shafer,” said Indiana Beach marketing director Don Hurd. You can buy quality South Africa Kiddie Carousel cheap.
The polishing began in September, after California-based Apex Parks Group bought Indiana Beach.
Since then, millions of dollars have been poured into restoring the nearly 90-year-old theme park. White County Commissioner President John Heimlich said the work has been more than cosmetic.
“The reputation had suffered here of late,” said Heimlich. “Especially, the reputation with the local community.” Click here: http://bestonamusementequipment.com/bumper-cars-for-sale/ to buy indoor bumper cars for kids from Beston amusement.
Hurd said Apex was prepared for the challenge. Whether it’s painting or repairs, he said once crews are finished, the park will be restored to its former glory.
“We want the park to be something that people are proud of,” said Hurd.
From thrill rides to kiddie rides, Hurd said everything in the park is getting some sort of maintenance before it reopens in May.
“People are really going to be seeing a new invigorated park this year,” said Hurd.
However, it’s more than just a tourist attraction. Hurd said the park needs to fill 900 positions and wants to hire locally.
Both Heimlich and Hurd believe the new park will stimulate the economy.
“The ripple effect is huge,” said Heimlich.
Hurd said, “A lot of our guests will come and go through their stores, or go to their restaurants or go through their gas stations.”
There’s something else changing — the theme park’s slogan.
“Where families flock for fun,” said Hurd.
The park will open for its 90th anniversary season on May 27.
The theme park is still looking for employees.
A job fair will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the IB Crow Campground in Monticello.
